How To Use This Newport Centre Mall Directory Map
The map has listed many floors of the mall, that are FL,SL and TL. I tapped the floor label at top right to show each floor. Touching a store pin tells me what shop it is so I can plan my visit.
Inside the shopping center a climate control system keeps things comfortable year round. Henderson to the west, Mall Drive to the east and other streets north and south surround the Mall.
Directories on every floor of the shopping center let you find your way.
Most visitors park in the West Garage. Fair warning: Parking rules are in place here and anything blocking a fire lane gets towed, so park where you can. It has a movie theater inside the mall so you can make it a whole night out, shop a little, watch a movie, get food.
For food section, there’s something for everyone. Need something fast?
Hit one of the cafes. Wanna tuck into a real meal with friends or family? No problem, there are many restaurants.
Here I got specialty retail stores and designer boutiques. So if I want laid back everyday wear or luxury brands there’s alot to see.
The Dick’s House of Sports, with batting cages and other interactive features. It’s become a magnet for sports fans or people who want to shop there.
Public transit to Newport Centre is easy. There is a Newport PATH station so you can get from New York City or anywhere in New Jersey to the mall without a car. Parking and traffic backed up? Use another nearby PATH station.
The mall has late hours. Saturdays it opens earlier if you go early. It’s been around for awhile now and is the area’s main shopping area.
Sitting in Jersey City, it can draw in neighborhood residents as well as commuters passing by. Some areas of the mall could sure use some TLC.
Size is right, big enough without making a shopping trip into a maze of corridors. There are stores in almost every category inside. You want clothes and accessories or home goods or the newest electronics? ,from budget friendly to more upscale retailers.
Over several floors the shopping center is largely occupied with tenants running active businesses. Long, dark corridors of empty shops are not really there so the atmosphere is lively.
With retail and restaurants thrown in there, you can kill a few hours easily. While shoppers are sleeping at home a whole team works to keep the mall running. Cleaning crews and security and delivery drivers clean up after the stores close to get ready for rush hour traffic.
It is an operation that most people never even think about, but which keeps the place running. It reflects current store locations at time of posting, tenants move in and out sometimes. Updates will come as things change.
