The Shops at Chestnut Hill Directory Map

The main anchor store in The Shops at Chestnut Hill is Bloomingdale’s, which indeed is the only Bloomingdale’s in all of Massachusetts. What gives it a bit of uniqueness is the fact that Bloomingdale’s covers two different parts on opposite sides of the center.

The Shops at Chestnut Hill is made up of enclosed shopping space, sitting on Boylston Street, which is also known as Route 9. It serves as a luxury spot with high-end retailers. Among the well known names hear you find Tiffany & Co., Williams-Sonoma, Bluemercury and Casper.

Especially new is the Blue Bottle Coffee, which opened recently. When it comes to food, places like Aquitaine, Bianca and Sr. Roni’s Cups offer shoppers a place to sit and eat.

This mall is not one of the giants. It has enough stores, but clearly it is small compared to the bigger centers of the region. On the other hand, the focus here is clearly on quality rather than quantity.

Services are also available in the center. Chase Bank has a branch inside, and there is even a Chestnut Hill Health Center in the same building. Barry’s, the famous fitness brand, has its spot here.

So it is not limited to shopping (practical trips are also possible).

The mall mixes fashion and style stores with beauty and wellness stores, special retailers and spots for quick food and drinks. The categories cover quite a broad range, although the overall size does not impress. The layout is split into parts like Sip & Nibble, Fashion & Style, Beauty & Wellness, Services and Specialties, which helps you find your way around.

Parking here usually happens without trouble. Unlike some other shopping centers in the area, here you do not need confusing garages. Indeed, that is one of the things that makes a trip more relaxing compared to sites like Legacy Place in Dedham or Natick Mall, where theparking commonly leads to frustration.

The general mood is upscale and fairly calm. It is not the kind of mall where one could pass a whole day walking around. A trip here mostly is fast and planned.

The high-end feel covers almost everything, from the stores to the food options.

Bernard’s is another store that one finds inside. The center also runs deals, events and notices, which are regularly updated so that shoppers can check them. Gift card services also exist.

So it is a well organized place, even if it is smaller than some folks expect of a shopping center.

The Chestnut Hill area itself is a nice part of Newton. The mall sits right along the main road, so getting there is easy. One finds directions and current information about traffic easily with most map apps.

One important thing to know is that no one goes here for bargain shopping. Everything here leans toward the more upscale side. But for those who want a pure fancy shopping experience without the chaos of a huge center, it works very well.

This interactive map of stores is accurate at the time of creation, but because stores change sometimes, it will get updates. Please bookmark this page, so that one can easily come back and check the map before the next trip.
